Retatrutide is an investigational injectable developed by US drugmaker Eli Lilly. The drug targets three gut hormones – glucagon-like peptide-1, GIP and glucagon. Early trials indicate it could help patients lose up to 25% of their body weight. Nicknamed the “triple G”, the substance is being hailed online as the successor to Ozempic.

Entering “retatrutide” instantly displays channels with numerous of members, populated with photos of weight loss, glowing reviews and detailed guides for mixing or injecting at home.

After minutes of joining one group, a seller shared WhatsApp details, where most purchases occur. The vendor provided an instruction manual and promised delivery within two days. When asked whether the substance was authentic, one vendor said: “You can’t be sure.” Another provided a photo of a supposed testing documentation. None inquired about body mass, medical conditions or past usage.

Inside these communities, messages show dark colored parcels with postal service labels, claiming to include new batches. One message stated: “It took eight of us to load them this morning.”
